It is so incredibly rare that you would think Siamese twin fish attached at the stomach would never survive. But at eight months old, these two Nile Tilapia fish in Thailand have found the perfect way to cope with life upside down... or the right way up if you're the lucky twin. The bigger fish protects its smaller sibling on the bottom, while it in turn looks for food.Believe it or not: These fish really are conjoined twinsThe Nile Tilapia fish is a common freshwater species found in tropical rivers, canals, lakes and ponds but these two were found in a Bangkok aquarium. The fish can reaches a maximum of 2ft in length and can weigh up to 9lb.Originally from waters stretching from Africa to the Cape Horn, the fish was introduced to freshwater irrigation systems so as to fight algae growth but has now become a pest.Best mates: The bigger fish helps its sibling, while the smallerone searches for foodBehind shrimp and salmon Nile Tilapia is the third most imported fish to the U.S.It is not the first time Siamese twins have been discovered in the animal kingdom. In July, a pair of barn swallows conjoined at the hip by skin and muscle tissue, were found in Arkansas. The Arkansas Game & Fish Commission said it was a 'one in a million - probably more than that - occurrence'.When discovered by officials the birds were not eating, and one died, while a veterinarian later put the other down.Experts say finding conjoined birds is rare because they likely die before being discovered. They believe the birds came from a double yolk egg.Life upside down: The Siamese twin Nile Tilapia are still alive and well at eight months in an aquarium in Bangkok

‘Kuruvi’ flies high

Vijay starrer ‘Kuruvi’ has managed a 150-day run across theatres in Tamilnadu. Produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin and directed by Dharani, the movie featuring Vijay, Trisha and Suman in the lead roles, witnessed mixed reviews at the box office.
However, thanks to the racy script and Vijay's popularity among the masses, the movie opened big and gradually settled down to do a decent business at the box office.
The cast and crew thanked the film-buffs for helping the movie complete a 150-day run. According to director Dharani, "I thank the producer Udhayanidhi Stalin, actor Vijay and the rest of my crew for the successes”.
Post ‘Gilli’, Vijay-Dharani-Trisha and music composer Vidyasagar tag teamed for 'Kuruvi'. Fortunately, they succeeded in their attempt.

'Kadhalil Vizhunthen' sweeps the box office

With just three days of its release, 'Kadhalil Vizhiunthen' has made a bumper collection across the State. Though it has not been released in Madurai (allegedly due to political reasons), the movie has witnessed a fantastic opening in Chennai, Salem, Coimbatore and several other centers.
Directed by debutant Prasad, the movie has hit the bull's eye thanks to the catchy and peppy number 'Nakku Mukka'. Also the initial reviews and word-of-mouth publicity for the movie has been encouraging and draws a mass number of audience to the theatres.
Nakul's bold performance and Sunaina's good portrayal has won the approval of the audience. In Chennai, all the shows for the week-end witnessed packed houses. Thanking the audience, director Prasad says,"We feel elated to see the movie witnessing good crowds. Our hard work for over a year has been rightly rewarded. I thank my whole cast and crew for making the movie a big success".
The movie is produced by Umapathy and distributed by Sun Pictures. According to industry men, the good run of 'Kadhalil Vizhunthen' has sent positive signals to the whole industry.
A movie with lesser known star cast and a new director has gone on to become a big hit. It renders courage to aspiring film-makers and young actors.
